Highlands Water Company got it's start in January of 1965 when Kent Smith and Dale Smedley began to develop the Highlands Subdivision.  When the subdivision was complete Kent and Dale continued to support the customers of the Highlands Water Company.  In 1986 Kent's son, Bart took over the management of the company and then in 1994, another son, Rodger Smith became President. Rodger passed away suddenly in November 2021 and his wife, Marjalee along with his brother, Bart Smith and our competent operator, Nate Hadley, are dedicated to running the company as it continues to grow.  HWC currently serves 411 customers from 8 springs and 1 well.  We have 4 storage reservoirs with a total capacity of almost 1.2 million gallons.
